PRIVACY POLICY
Safeguarding your personal financial information is, and will always be, as
much a part of our business as taking deposits and making loans. We respect your
financial privacy and comply with the laws and regulations designed to secure
that privacy. Your relationship with us is important, and we want you to
understand our policies and practices about handling information. We will keep
confidential any information about you, but may share information about you with
our subsidiaries, affiliated companies and business partners as described below
in order to provide better service. “Information” means nonpublic, personal
financial information.
Information About YOU: We may routinely collect or retain information (1) from
you on applications or other forms; (2) about your transactions with us, our
affiliates, or others; and (3) from consumer reporting agencies regarding credit
and checking account histories. We may share this information with others to the
extent permitted by law and in accordance with our information sharing polices
and practices listed below.
Safeguarding Information About YOU: We do not disclose any nonpublic personal
information about our customers and former customers to anyone without first
verifying who they are and whether they may have legal access to the
information. We have a disaster preparedness program to secure this information
in case of natural disasters, hazards or threats. Our security and
confidentiality procedures are routinely tested to make sure they work.
Account Numbers/Access Codes: We will not disclose your account number or access
code for a credit card account, deposit account or transaction account to a
nonaffiliated third party in order for them to sell you products or services. We
may give your account number or access code to consumer reporting agencies
because we are allowed or are required to do so by law.
Information Sharing: We do not share information about
you with affiliates and non-agent nonaffiliated companies and persons, unless
allowed by law and where it will help service your accounts. Affiliates are
other companies that are commonly owned or controlled by our parent holding
company. Non-agent nonaffiliated companies are companies and persons that are
not commonly owned or controlled by our parent holding company; such as
attorneys, auditors, consumer reporting agencies, and transaction processors.
Your
Opt-Out Rights: Should the Association deem it appropriate to share customer
information with affiliates, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and/or
nonaffiliated companies or persons, we will notify you in advance and give you
the opportunity to opt-out of the information sharing.
Ending Customer Relationship: When you end your customer relationship with us,
or when we end our customer relationship with you, we will treat the information
we have about you as if you were still our customer.
Children's Online Privacy
We recognize that
protecting children's identities and privacy is important. We comply with
the practices established under the Children's Online Privacy Protection
Act. We do not knowingly market to or solicit information from children
under 13 without parental consent. |
